Breathe new life into your first-generation Gibson Robot Guitar—or add self-tuning smarts to a more traditional Gibson— with this factory-original active Tune-o-matic bridge. Machined from zinc alloy and plated in mirror-chrome, it hides six piezo sensors (one beneath each saddle) plus an onboard PCB that streams real-time pitch data to the Robot Guitar’s body CPU via the familiar 7-pin flex cable.
Key features
-
Factory-spec replacement – Identical to the bridge installed on 2007-08 Gen I Robot Les Paul, SG, Flying V, Explorer and LP Junior models.
-
Individual piezo-sensor saddles – Each string gets its own pickup for ultra-accurate frequency tracking, enabling the Robot system to lock in perfect pitch in seconds.
-
Integrated electronics – Sealed PCB and ribbon connector deliver plug-and-play compatibility with the original Robot control hardware (or Tronical retrofit kits).
-
Standard Gibson post spacing – 74 mm (2 29⁄32 “) center-to-center Nashville studs mean the bridge will also drop straight onto most non-Robot Gibson USA guitars that use a Tune-o-matic/Nashville bridge, such as the Les Paul, SG, Flying V, Explorer, Firebird, etc.
-
No-mod installation – Swap it in using your existing bridge posts; professional installation is recommended if you plan to hook it into Robot electronics, but it can also serve as a passive bridge (sensors unused) on any compatible Gibson.
Whether you’re restoring a vintage Blue Silverburst Robot Les Paul or future-proofing a workhorse SG, this Gen I Robot bridge delivers the original auto-tuning functionality while fitting the vast majority of Gibson models that share the classic Tune-o-matic footprint.
